The Sunday service at First Church was attended by several members of the Merrilees Clan who were warmly wel-comed by Minister, Rev Tokerau Joseph.
They also witnessed the baptisms of two children from Tanzania.

Merrilees Family History on Display
The Merrilees Global Family Tree was seen for the first time at Burns Hall (top & above) along with photos of many Merrilees forebears. Clan members were provided with personalised family trees compiled by Caroline and Ian Merrylees, and bus tours, organised and lead by Jan Kelly, took family members to visit sites and graves of the first Merrilees immigrants who arrived in New Zealand in 1853 (below and right).
